About this project
“Trusted Zakat” is a charitable initiative dedicated to receiving and delivering Zakat to people who are genuinely in need and eligible to receive it. We assess the circumstances of those in need, verify their situation and strive to ensure that Zakat reaches people who truly require support, including low-income families, vulnerable individuals and residents of remote villages.
Those who wish to distribute their Zakat themselves can request a list of verified beneficiaries, visit them personally, see their circumstances and then give their Zakat directly to them. When Zakat is entrusted to us, we deliver it to eligible recipients and provide a transparent report.
We cover transportation, travel and delivery-related expenses ourselves, so that the Zakat entrusted by donors can reach those in need as directly and fully as possible.
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, when sending Mu'adh ibn Jabal to Yemen, taught that Allah had made Zakat obligatory — taken from the wealthy and given to the poor. (Sahih al-Bukhari, 1395; Sahih Muslim, 19)
For us, Zakat is not simply financial assistance, but a religious responsibility and an amanah — a sacred trust. The goal of the project is to ensure that people's Zakat reaches those who are truly eligible through careful assessment, responsibility and transparency.
